Middle School News

Only 4 % of the population has the courage to donate blood.  Be the top four percent that saves lives on Tuesday - May 7th.  16 year olds must fill out the permission slip every time.  If we reach 30 donors we will be able to award a donating senior a 500 scholarship. 

NO Middle School afterschool tutorial today.

Middle School Talent Show:

Auditions will be after school on Wednesday, May 8 in the Band room for any students in grades 6-8 who are interested in performing in the Talent Show. A sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board near the Band room. The performance will be on Thursday, May 30 during 6th hour.

ATTENTION STUDENTS IN GRADES 8th-11th grade:

There are available spots in the Holton Color Guard for this coming season. If you are interested, get an audition form from the MS/HS office. Try-outs  will be held on Thursday, May 16th after school in the Band Room. They will consist of learning a routine on Day 1 and performing that routine on a later date. Come wearing comfortable clothes and tennis shoes.  No previous experience is necessary, but dance experience is helpful.

Middle School After School tutorial schedule.   This is an opportunity for students to get extra help and provides a quiet place to study.  2nd bus passes can be given. The weekly schedule is: Monday- Mrs. Stanhope,  Tuesday- Mr. Baker, Thursday- Mrs. Mayse   

REMINDERS:  *Students-backpacks are not allowed in the classroom.  Please keep them in your locker.

*Coats and blankets are not allowed in classrooms.  Please keep them in your locker.

*Per the student handbook, students are not allowed in the building after school unless supervised by a coach, advisor, or staff member. 

Middle School Project FOCUS -  Registration Packets are available outside of the office. We will meet in the library Monday-Thursday, 2:35-5:05 p.m.  Applications can be turned back into the office.

IMPORTANT:  Parents must update student demographics in your Powerschool Parent Portal(this can be found on our district website at www.holtonschools.com at the bottom of the page).  We have transitioned all our forms to online so it is very important that this be completed.  Please call the Middle School office if you need account login information or help with the process.
